They don't like each other! Drift thinks she's dumb and Echo thinks he's dumb but they end up talking for whatever reason anyway and almost always end up arguing over really trivial things. (I think the other day they had a debate about muffins and doors, I don't remember.) But they're both so stubborn they never settle on anything and idek. Drift doesn't trust her opinions anymore because she's always making bad decisions (drinking, eating Katou's brownies, etc.; though in her defense I don't think she knew what the effects of those things would be) and she ends up dragging Drift into those things so clearly she is dumb and that's that.
