Replace is such a . . . Tricky word. Rather, Yuri is coming to occupy a similar position with Vincent and is being regarded in the same fashion as brother. I mean, if I were to do a fast and loose tier for Vincent, it's like: Gilbert >>> Elliot > Yuri > Obsidian > Everyone else. For Yuri to replace Gilbert, he would have to shift Vincent from having Gilbert as his reason for living to . . . Yuri being it. That would be the obstacle before Yuri to undo a lot of what Vincent has built up.

With that in mind, Vincent is pretty alright with it . . . ? For better or worse, acknowledging that he was stupid in love with Yuri leveled Vincent out pretty well. Occupying that same position means that Vincent doesn't have any qualms about emotional manipulation, lying to Yuri for his own sake, and the whole list of things that Vincent has done and will do to Gilbert. All the past sins will be taken care of by Vincent being written off the board, because he really can't help being a curse upon anyone in contact with him . . . Which is pretty much what Vincent thinks would be the best thing for Yuri, like it is for Gilbert!

So, yeah, none of this is a problem for Vincent, and he is kind of okay with the trend as it is now.

Hmm, as I bring it up, what is Yuri's reason for living in Aather? He hasn't had any stronger desire for the world effort, has he?
