dormancy: (no after you.)

DON'T MAKE ME RUN CONTINGENCY PLANS!!!! Do you know that I keep a scratch pad by my computer, so I can run all the schemes and plans that Vincent does for long-term goals? Like, seriously, it takes a lot of brainwork, missy. THAT SAID!!!

a. He is super okay with being in Aather, because Will of Abyss would have had a goddamn field day with him. Everyone else would say that the Abyss sucks, Vincent would know the true depths of Hell with that girl at the helm. So, he would be like . . . I am so happy to be in Aather where things could not go half as poorly!! . . . Except they could, but if he has a pay-out, then who cares, really.

b. He would shake his head at this ending. Like, really now, self? This is all you could manage? Then, he would be all set to roll in Aather, since it clearly was not going to work out. —See, you think that he isn't planning for these kinds of outcomes already. He is. There's a reason why he's not sitting tight in Aather to see if Option C eventually happened, because it might not have and he is on top of that!! Vincent is a real-go-getter when he feels like it.

c. This is trickiest . . . It runs down a lot of different possibilities that would all have to be accounted for. Like, let me see if I can cover some:

CAST REGISTRY COMPLETE > They go home! With memories of Aather! > ... Fail.
CAST REGISTRY COMPLETE > They stay in Aather! > Everyone mentions Vincent. > ... Fail.
CAST REGISTRY COMPLETE > Abyss somehow supersedes Aather! > No Vincent, heeey.

So, it gets really fuck-all complicated when you get into the details which are where it is at for Vincent! Watch how Vincent is not suicidal, not reckless, or anything at all in canon. He's not going to kill himself and leave Gilbert with that mess, because he couldn't cope. No, he is going to take care of every small detail to give his brother the happiest life that he could which is why Vincent was running into a wall previously. He knew he had a motive that was dedicated to Gilbert which gave him the reason to do anything at all in his memories as an adult . . . Even when he was a child! Like, come on, he could have easily have said PEACE OUT when he showed up half-dead at Nightray's doorstep, but he was dedicated enough to keep alive and to keep living for this goal. So, he was like GOD What was it that I was after that could have excused my living to this point now? And then he got that memory and is like Oh. That makes perfect sense. :') And he is working towards it in Aather which ought to cover for most eventualities. Like I said, that plan is still sort of slow to mobilize, because Vincent has to work out a few kinks to make it feasible.
