HE LIKED THE FOOD once he sort of got over himself enough to eat it. For Flynn he had kind of dismissed Yuri before the whole encounter because of the fact that Yuri lied to Flynn about Vincent hurting him! Which spoke a lot to how much Yuri trusts Flynn to handle that whole situation, etc. But basically, because of that he was super surprised that Yuri even stopped by. It was kind of touching and he was hoping that it miight be a turning point but since there were already trust issues afoot Flynn didn't really want to dance around the issue of what he was doing the quest for. However, in his eyes he doesn't see the door as punishment but rather as protection so he got really worked up by Yuri trying to turn it into a means to punish himself. All in all Flynn still thinks that Yuri is a good person, and a good knight in Aather! He firmly believes that the door should not be used for people like Yuri because Yuri has never proved to be a danger to (innocent) people in Flynn's eyes.

Flynn sort of recognized that he was letting himself get worked up about justice issues and that it wasn't exactly helping the situation so he just shut up. Mostly he feels like he misstepped in a bad way. He sort of recognizes that it's not his place to try to help Yuri with anything that's going on in his personal life if Yuri isn't inviting it (and Yuri is definitely not inviting that).

So mostly it just frustrated him more. He's really worried about Yuri but for now he's just going to keep maintaining his distance. And get about a million more quests.

How much is Yuri judging Oz right now?

Nooot a lot, more like minor facepalm judging. It was very whyyyy could you have no waited ten minutes Oz!! But he can appreciate that Oz is young and probably did it out of a misguided bout of honesty rather than malicious intent.

... Though he is also kind of what the fuck is WRONG with people from this world and not picking up on really obvious things?! Because from Yuri's eyes there was no way Gil's response was normal even for a spaz like him, so the fact that Oz can't see there is something off there is a little frustrating, especially since Yuri recognizes this is probably not the first time this has happened. Of course, he doesn't know that for Oz, Gil has been like that about him his whole life.

So what WOULD happen if they locked us in a closet together?

Flynn would stand stubbornly in the corner and insist that he has nothing to say if Yuri's not interested in talking. He would keep that up until Yuri poked at some issue or another then I imagine they'd just go at each other and it could definitely turn into a really damn close quarters fight unless they somehow got across to each other that they're just tsuntsun about caring.

At which point Flynn would just tsun and ignore it and ask to be let out anyway.

IDK talk to me about Flynn and sexuality; what does he like physical/mentally in his partners (well it's not like he has much experience but project a little).

The most important thing for Flynn in a partner right now is either someone who he doesn't feel will take sex too seriously or someone who he could have a genuine emotional connection with. LACKING THE LATTER, he's swinging a lot more toward the former. Flirting alone is sort of a new and exciting thing for him because he's never really had an interest in flirting or had a personal reason to do it. Flirting doesn't get you places in the Imperial Knights and before Aather that was his ~life~ so he just sort of ignored its existence.

But Aather is doing interesting things for Flynn in terms of developing his sense of self and sexuality is one of those facets. So he's more comfortable with flirting, mostly because if it works out nicely (like with Chariot) he feels flattered and he gets to flatter someone else so it's a win win situation. He definitely approaches people who are more laid back because this is new ground he's exploring. He already had a bit of a mess up with both Selenia and Yuri so he wants his exploration to be something he can do without worrying about long term repercussions for the relationship.

Also experience is nice because as earnest as he can be Flynn's (at this time) still a virgin. He wants someone who'd be more willing to show him the ropes and who knows their way around things so that he can get a better understanding of how things are done. He definitely won't go for a more inexperienced partner until he feels confident in his ability to please them.

I think the more that Flynn comes into a comfortable sense of his own sexuality the more comfortable he's going to be with things like physical affection and flirting. There's always going to be some degree of genuine affection behind it, though, because Flynn Scifo is not the kind of guy for one night stands. (unless it's something that the other party is completely comfortable with in which case, if they're attractive and he likes them, he's all for it)

Any memories in Yuri's registry that you're looking forward to?

The one where he gets stabbed off of the Zaude :'D It's the only memory that will actually viscerally throw him... also the memory of fighting Estelle and of not!killing Raven. All the delicious memories pushing him more and more towards being able to make really huge, terrible decisions.

Talk to me about Flynn headcanon. Any headcanon.

You are already king of the bad decision dinosaurs, Yuri Lowell.

Flynn took a very serious interest in teaching himself practical skills like writing and cooking when he was younger so he could do more odd jobs around the Lower Quarter. When he first started writing, he practiced by keeping a ~~diary~~ journal of daily events (which Yuri probably mocked him for). He still keeps it up daily, and there's sometimes where he'll write short letters to Yuri in his entries, especially after Yuri left the knights and in the aftermath of Zaude. He's got all his old journals stashed away in his room at the capitol, neatly filed in chronological order.

How did Yuri learn to cook?

I think it gets mentioned in canon that he literally learned to cook in self-defense... Possibly this is how he got acquainted with the lady who runs the inn! ~~After she found him lying half-dead in a gutter from Flynn's cooking~~. No he probably started off watching her while he peeled potatoes or something and worked his way up from there.

What's up with Flynn and Selenia anyway?

They're in a weird place! Selenia was someone that Flynn attached very strongly to when he first arrived in Aather because person who speaks with authority! It's very easy for Flynn to fall into his role as a knight with people who are commanding like Van. But then Selenia kissed him and things sort of became a bit more awkward on Flynn's side. Mostly it was an issue of too much too fast, because at that time Flynn still wasn't thinking of Aather as a different system from the Imperial Knights so for one, it was something that felt wrong to him as a knight-to-hero relationship, and for two, it wasn't something he'd even considered in terms of his own desires because he was still focusing super heavily on his duties as a knight-knight.

So Flynn sort of backed off out of consideration for his feelings and things were a little awkward for a while thereafter. They were on that sort of unstable footing until Selenia wound up giving away his love for a quest which freaked Flynn the fuck out. They somewhat resolved after that but then after the game where all of Sapphire died they had a disagreement on what's the right course for Aather, basically that Flynn supports the goal of Beauty and the realm regardless of what might happen in games and Selenia doesn't.

From Flynn's end things are still kind of...iffy. He's definitely not as close to Selenia as he once was because of the disagreements that they've had over Aather, justice, and the like, but Selenia does remain someone that he respects so he's just in general in a place where he's trying to figure out how to navigate their relationship.

What would Yuri do if someone stuck gum in his hair.

MURDER... THEM...

He sure as hell would not cut it!! He would go find Narcissus or some Persona like that to help him get it out :T And just be unbearably cranky.

Flynn's feelings about Yuri's hair.

HE'S HAD LOTS OF THEM. Mostly Yuri, your hair is so impractical, what would you do if an enemy grabbed it in battle? :T It always gets tangled, Yuri :TT You take forever in the shower, Yuri :TTTT Your hair is against Imperial Knights regulation Yuri :TTTTT You're dripping all over the floor, Yuri :TTTTTT It suits you, Yuri :T

What would Yuri do with Repede in Aather?

It would be like how Vincent is with Obsidian; screw you guys gonna hang out with my dog \o/ +500 COPING BECAUSE OF DOG. It would be a huge comfort especially since he got back his everyday life before gamestart which was basically hanging out alone with Repede most of the time.

Will Flynn ever stop wearing his armor around all the time?

He is gradually easing out of it these days. Honestly he's a bit loathe to just stop wholesale because of the possibility that he could find himself at a game that requires it when he's not geared up and then he'd beat himself up forever for not being able to help. Though I imagine once he gets his inventory skill back that might help out a bit, maybe. But then there's also the practicality of getting into and out of it all the time.

Someone like Lloyd or Chariot could probably talk to him about the merits of not wearing armor all the damn time and that might help the gradual process.
