Not even Yuri really knows where he stands on Chariot. Back at the Sea Witch game, he was mostly upset, not that Chariot and Flynn had gotten hurt, but that they SEEMED to have gotten hurt for an utterly stupid reason. Yuri is used to Flynn being bulletproof/reasonable so it was kind of a shock to his system. And like I stated above, Chariot's speech had come at a bad time because he had recently dealt with Raven about the same issue of aloofness, except Raven was a lot more pushy and judgmental about it so in general he was a lot more emotional about it than he would have been.
Afterwards they seemed to do fine! They talked about feelings and Yuri was pretty pleased with this modest attempt and thought maybe they really were on the mend. But then the kissing game happened and Chariot sort of harassed him a little which was okay until he flat-out rejected Yuri kissing him. And touch is so important to Yuri in terms of establishing affection/relationships so getting the door shut in his face like that was a really harsh blow, especially considering the nature of their relationship in the past.
AND TO MAKE THINGS WORSE they spared and Chariot pinned him down and ruffled his hair like everything was fine??? But it was TOO casual for everything to actually be fine. So Yuri is mostly hurt and confused and he doesn't know who to blame--has he not been trying hard enough? But it doesn't seem to him as he Cherry's been trying at all, and basically, he hates feelings and he would rather NOT be trying to cultivate and talk about them if he's not going to get a god damn bone for it anyway.

Chariot's thoughts on Yuri!
