Weell as I was saying earlier Vincent is becoming very grounding for Yuri, which is good for him! And bad. Let me copy paste this thing from Spitfire's question on what Yuri would have seen in the mirror of Erised:

Thaaaat is hard to say! Yuri's wants are too abstract to really solidify. Foremost, he wants to do the right thing, he wants to be an effective person. It's not as simple as "I want Estelle" or "I want Vincent." At this point especially he is sort of forcing that aloofness of "YOU can stay or go. I'm staying." Because he is really big on personal choice, but there's definitely an element of him forcing himself not to want something for the sake of the other person's space BUT it is equal or lesser to the part of him that is just honestly not very needy and very stable independently.

That is basically where he is right now with Vincent. It's like that moment he has with Estelle where he tells her to choose--go back to the castle or keep traveling with me. And he's casual like her answer doesn't mean anything to him until she says she wants to stay with him and he is stupidly, adorably happy. It's a weird process where as he becomes more attached he forces himself to be less so. Right now Vincent is at party status which, from Yuri, entails a certain amount of possessiveness, though not in a controlling sense. It more means that Vincent would have to try REALLY REALLY REALLY HARD to shake Yuri, now, BUT if he walks, Yuri wouldn't chase him, because that's his choice.

In other news, he is also feeling more relaxed around Vincent, like he CAN let his guard down if he wants to, and Vincent won't use it against him or spurn him. But that doesn't mean he's going to be rushing to do it. And this is also applicable; it's a response to "What are Yuri's feelings on Vin's heartgame"

KIND OF THE SAME WAY. Very 'lol that is very Vincent of you Vincent'. Basically, none of it was really surprising to him, except for maybe that Onyx tower, which kind of pleased him a lot! It's... sort of how he wants Vincent to feel about him: You don't have to tell me anything, but you can if you want, and you can trust me regardless. He is still Unsure about the feeling his flower gave off, but it feels like the right direction.

... Reverse.

Just random thoughts then!!

* lol the flowers ... I debated adding a more "updated" flower in there, because there are other feelings involved with Yuri. But it wasn't something that Vincent would strategically do. Like Peridot had all the dere, and Kyouko got something because he does have a soft spot for her, but Yuri doesn't get the benefit of sappy romance-y feelings. Besides, it's way more complicated than that, haha. \o/

* Yuri is stability when Vincent is unstable, etc. Really, Yuri hasn't knowingly seen Vincent at a complete loss, but Yuri doesn't push him so Vincent gets the space to put his pieces back together with no questions asked. He's still all knotted up in the games and deception of his memories, so he isn't going to be forthright for a very long time. Having a place where there isn't a demand for trust or being open is super awesome, so they end up being pretty damn functional in that sense.

* Pffthahaha, Yuri spotting the knight trend . . . Gosh, it's really . . . Vincent honestly has a thing for the doomed hero. It's all mixed up in canon and his worldview, so I can't narrow it down to just Yuri, buuut . . . He likes seeing them fight the good fight and to keep persisting even when they know they're going to lose! That's cool to him. But he also likes to see them pushed to their absolute limits and what it will take for them to fall. He would probably lose all interest after that point, but he just wants to see people taken to their limit. It's sort of . . . To support and damn himself at the same time. Because, hey, other people couldn't hold their shit together, but it's also nice to have a hero in the story—To know good can come out on top and he just got the very short end of the straw. So, the pissing Yuri off thing, poking his buttons, he definitely wants to see where Yuri's line is drawn if there is one.

* Yuri wants sex way too often for Vincent. Like I find it hilarious how many times Vincent is like YOU ARE KIDDING ME, CALM DOWN. But it's also part of the thing where Vincent doesn't associate sex with anything like being enjoyable, so he can understand that Yuri wants it because he's wired right to an extent. So, his feelings, of which there are little because lol Vincent, on the matter is just . . . Roll with it. I told you before that Vincent saying what he wants will be a big step for him, but that will likely be the first step. No, no, I have a headache, not tonight, no. He doesn't mind Yuri using him to that extent, though. I mean, he can and has pulled the wool over Yuri's eyes before, so him being like STOP DOING THAT was sort of . . . Hilarious for Vincent. Yuri is really such a kind and thoughtful person~. ♥

. . . Go on about that last point I made. Just Yuri on their sex life whatevs. Also, Yuri on just his own. Gosh, he gets around.

Hahahahaha . . . Oh, gosh. No, it's pretty much the same as with sex. It's something to be used on and against someone to unnerve them or bring them around to him. Like there isn't a line between kissing and sex where one is less impacting than the other. He understands it exists for other people and is always very on point with knowing how other people are responding, but for him? It's all the same. In my mind, he's really not fond of touching people in a small corner which is why he would be happy to have his gloves back in Aather, but he doesn't really have enough . . . God, I wish I knew the word, self value?? To put his wants over what he thinks is necessary or ought to be done on any level.

So, kissing is manipulation, hugs are . . . He doesn't hug. It's not the right message, but he does sort of awkwardly one-arm it, at times. Hugging is not a natural motion to him, so he prefers to drape or lean rather than hugging. As for draping and leaning, it's him dicking around, being cute in his own way. It's meant to be less imposing and put people off track! Entering people's space, touching their hair, face, or shoulder . . . That's imposing and that's a threat. It could also be a hint of closeness and intimacy for those who would want that from him, or if he's leaving it open as a lure for them to follow. It depends on who is on the receiving end for which side of the coin it is, but Sasuke and Spitfire generally get the latter.

Sleeping on . . . He is warming up to! To be honest, he prefers to sleep on Obsidian where it is so off base from anything he's used to. The dragon is best for sleeping on, and he probably takes full blown naps on him a lot. He does have to sleep on Ariel or Gilbert when he steals their bed, but he makes sure to give Gil his room and just steals an arm to harass him. Ariel . . . He lets her sleep on him. It doesn't bother him. Yuri is different, though. He doesn't like the extended contact from Yuri, so cuddling is really hard for him to wrap his head around unless he's passing out in the right situation for it, like that one time. Plus, Yuri has the room to give him his space, so it's unnecessary for Yuri to be on him at all. Get off, give me the pillows, and go back to your two feet of bed.

SOMETHING EASY. It just struck my curiosity, but all the random crap Yuri would like! Like if the quest was super easy or whatever.

I think . . . He just wanted to pierce his ears . . . Like Vincent didn't mind the tattoo game at all. (And is still upset Iolite lost it, what the hell.) So, he was like this and that are pretty close together, and he wanted to see how that would roll with Yuri. Really, he did enjoy getting pierce Yuri's ears. It was a different form of intimacy which works pretty well with him, and . . . Well, Vincent has a penchant for displays and beauty, okay. He knew Yuri would like goddamn beautiful with earrings, so he could try, whatever.

Oh, it was an apology too! That was after he got a little unlevel at Yuri for visiting Peridot, and was his own way of making amends for that episode. Really, that was more internal than Vincent knowing that Yuri would understand the logic at all, but he was sort of making himself feel better about doing that when he was stupidly stuck with Yuri and didn't realize it.

Gosh, I would like to ask more about Yuri in Vincent's heart game, but Spitfire got that. Uhh, what does Yuri think about what he's getting from his memories and second-hand info? Not cool with himself or his world . . . ?
dormancy: (now that would just be silly!)

We can nap. Naps would be great, and we could have lots of them. There could be so many naps, Yuri . . .

Haha, no, no. Uh, Vincent should theoretically have his plate full with the rest of the fall-out from that game, then whenever he makes all of his good decisions with Sasuke. I mean, he doesn't have hobbies, so it's more time to either recuperate or to work the game more . . . Maybe, they shouldn't stop having sex so often. Neither of those options sound at all entertaining.

Randomly, I just thought of that onsen in Vesperia. They should have something like that in Aather. It would be super. Vincent would be one-hundred percent all over that.

What are Yuri's motivations in Aather? Like what does he view as part of his role as a knight? How does he see the system? . . . That sounds lame, but I like hearing about these things, so whatever!!
dormancy: (i can't believe how pathetic we can be.)

The gains wouldn't outweigh the pains necessary to win it. See, the problem is . . . If they have the choice to dole out memories, there is the potential they could just shred memories, and Vincent is so highly invested in his "former" self that he wouldn't risk that. He will not screw himself over in that way.

After he gets his true wish back? It is more likely, but still not as possible. The Persona outweigh the heroes in power by and large. It's not surprising that those who are completed are given the option to go back home where they cannot pass on their wisdom and so on to those that would try to make such a coup happen.

Hmm, if Yuri could localize and decide on the issue that needs to be changed . . . And Vincent cared enough to have a hand in it rather than a large and futile goal such as taking Persona out of power? That is infinitely more feasible, and Vincent might consider pointing him in the right direction. The problem with Vincent doing something like that is he could undercut the effort in a big way if he could find his own personal gain in it. If you want Yuri and Vincent playing on opposite sides of the field, that would be the best way to get it to happen. He would definitely find whoever would take that sort of information, likely Three at this point, and wheel and deal them to take the largest gain from the set-up. Damn everyone else for trying to upset the system, unfair or not.

THOUGHTS? :)?
